2. General Information on Data Processing

We process personal data of our users only to the extent necessary to provide our website and our services (continuing education courses). Processing generally takes place only with the consent of the data subject or on the basis of a legal permission (Art. 6(1) GDPR).

3. What Data We Process

a) When Visiting the Website

Our website is hosted on Squarespace. When you visit the site, Squarespace's basic built-in analytics automatically collect technical data (such as IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited) to operate the site and provide aggregate visitor statistics.

  • Purpose: ensuring stable operation of the website, basic visitor statistics

  • Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest)

b) Course Registration

When registering for a course, we collect: first and last name, professional title/specialty, practice/company name, email address, phone number, billing address, and payment details necessary to process the deposit and remaining balance.

  • Purpose: contract processing, invoicing, communication related to the course

  • Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract), Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (statutory tax and commercial record-keeping obligations)

  • Retention period: for the duration of statutory retention periods (in Austria, generally 7 years under § 132 BAO)

c) Contact Requests

When you contact us by email, we process the data you provide to handle your inquiry.

  • Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR

4. Disclosure of Data to Third Parties

Your data is disclosed to third parties only where necessary for contract processing (e.g. Squarespace as our website and payment platform, accounting/tax advisors) or where we are legally required to do so. Where required, a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with all processors.

5. Cookies

Our website, hosted on Squarespace, uses only Squarespace's basic built-in tracking cookies required for standard site analytics. No separate third-party advertising or marketing cookies are currently used.

6. Data Transfers to Third Countries

Squarespace, Inc. is based in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA in connection with our use of Squarespace, this is done on the basis of appropriate safeguards (e.g. EU Standard Contractual Clauses) under Art. 44 et seq. GDPR, as provided by Squarespace.
